Overview

The Mekong Delta is a network of tributaries in southwest Vietnam between Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodia. The river starts in the Himalayas and passes through China, Myanmar, Thailand, and Cambodia before reaching Vietnam, partly explaining why the waters are so murky.

A motorized boat tour of the Cai Be floating market will take about three hours, including various activities such as bicycle rides, delectable meals, and traditional means of transport. In only three days, tourists learn much about the locals’ way of life, the Mekong Delta’s long history, and other cultural characteristics.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Enjoy the wonders and charms of the Mekong Delta on this 3-day eco package tour.
  • Visit the bustling Cai Be floating markets and discover the ways of the people living along the river.
  • Take a cooking class and learn how to make local delicacies.
  • Experience Sam Mountain in Chau Doc and visit a floating fish farm.
  • Visit a traditional Cham river village and see their weaving skills.

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Cai Lay - Cai Be - Eco Lodge (Lunch/Dinner)

Pick up at your hotel at 7:30 AM and arrive at Cai Lay, where you'll be able to shoot photos of the flat rice fields of Tan An.
- Seeing floating markets of Cai Be, chatting with the vendors trading fruits and other goods.
- Visit fruit orchards and handicraft villages or rest at an eco-resort.
- Have lunch with Mekong Delta specialties, including fresh river food, at the picturesque Mekong Lodge Riverside Restaurant.
- Participate in a culinary class in the afternoon, and enjoy a delicious meal.
- Overnight at the Eco lodge resort (Bungalow).

Day 2 :
Day 2: Cai Be - Cao Lanh - Chau Doc (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

- Transfer back to Cai Be by boat, where tourists will depart for Cao Lanh.
- Visit Xeo Quit base – a former Viet Cong base, and enjoy a boat cruise around the swamps and the forest.
- Have lunch and visit Sam Mountain and the Cave Pagoda, followed by observing the beauty of sunset over the Vietnamese-Cambodian Frontier.
- Have dinner and stay overnight at the tourist-chosen hotel in Chau Doc.

Day 3 :
Day 3: Chau Doc - Tra Su - Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast/Lunch)

- Take a morning boat trip to a floating fish farm and a Cham weaving village, where tourists will see how locals created a way to weave skillfully and maintain their traditional professions for hundreds of years.
- Go to Tra Su cajuput forest, renowned for its almost untouched natural beauty and its sanctuary of flora and fauna.
- From Birds Observatory can overlook the forest with an area of nearly 900 ha, home to many birds and animals, including some rare ones.
- Have lunch in the forest, relax on a hammock, or experience Monkey Bridge in that local area.
- Back to HCMC and end tour 3-day eco-tour of the Mekong Delta and drop off at your hotel around 6 PM.

Refund Policy

When you book a reservation for a Tour or Service through our Website, full Payment by credit, debit card, bank transfer, or Paypal is required to make a reservation. 

No refunds are available once a tour or service has commenced or in respect of any package, accommodation, meals, or other services utilized.

If you wish to cancel a reservation made via the Website, this policy will apply to and govern the terms of your cancellation and any refunds. When canceling a booking, you will need to contact us and raise your demand for the total refund amount you will receive.

The standard cancellation policy for HanaTourist is:

a 100% refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the start date of the experience.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start date of the experience will receive no refund. However, we will have full rights to decide if the Refund Claim is reasonable for the cancellations made during this timeline.

The value of the transaction may be subject to taxes, duties, foreign commerce, currency exchange, or other fees.
